Who these guides are for.

Everything here is written for UK limited companies and LLPs looking for working capital between £10,000 and £500,000. That is deliberate. Business lending to an incorporated business is a different market from consumer or sole-trader borrowing, with different products, different pricing and a different regulatory position, and advice written for one rarely transfers cleanly to the other.

If you are a sole trader or a general partnership, these guides will still be interesting, but the products described are generally not available to you through us, and we would rather say that up front than waste your time.

How we make money.

It is a fair question to ask of anyone publishing funding guides. Solvo Funding is a UK direct lender and a finance intermediary. We lend our own money for revenue advances of £10,000 to £75,000, and we arrange larger facilities and term loans through our lending partners. Where we lend, a 5% arrangement fee is deducted from the advance at funding; where we introduce, the lender pays us a commission. We do not provide advice or recommendations, and we do not rank the guides above by what pays us best. Where a product is expensive, the guides say so.
